The Artist

Khurshid Dustmurodov

Photographer & Filmmaker

Khurshid Dustmurodov is the founder of AFRICUZ. He established the studio in Gqeberha in 2015 with a simple conviction: South African stories deserve the same visual care as any city on earth. More than a decade on, that conviction has become a studio practice built on documentary honesty and editorial finish.

He photographs and films weddings — Nikah, mosque and church ceremonies, Mendi nights, and the long family celebrations around them — alongside portrait, brand, editorial, fashion, and food work for clients across the Eastern Cape and beyond. The approach is the same in every genre: stay out of the way, read the light, and make images that hold up in print years later.

Based in Gqeberha, available wherever your story takes place.
